Whānau Services at Visionwest offer a range of supports designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals and families in our community. This includes food support, budgeting advice, emergency housing assistance, counselling, advocacy and access to wraparound services. We take a strengths-based approach, recognising that every whānau has skills, knowledge and potential to draw on as they work towards their goals.
Whether providing urgent help in times of crisis or walking alongside whānau on their journey toward independence, Visionwest’s Whānau Services aim to restore dignity, foster hope and support people to thrive within their community.

Our team works in partnership with whānau, listening to their unique stories and tailoring support to meet their immediate needs while also building long-term resilience. We focus on creating pathways to stability, connection and opportunity through culturally responsive and compassionate care.
The Whānau Centre is the waharoa, or gateway, for whānau who are new to Visionwest to connect with us as we discover together the areas of support that are needed.
