Clinical Supervision
For a professional counsellor, regular supervision is recommended. It is a way to ensure good care of both the counsellor and their clients, and results in professional growth and good practice.
The Visionwest Wellbeing Centre provides experienced formal supervision in a warm, safe and supportive environment, where counsellors and psychotherapists are able to discuss their work and continue to improve their skills. Each session is specifically tailored to meet the individual needs, skill-level and personality of those being supervised.
Counselling In Schools
Children often seem so resilient that it’s easy to forget how incredibly sensitive they can be to what’s going on around them. The reality is children often need counselling support the same as adults do.
The Visionwest Wellbeing Centre is a provider of one-on-one counselling sessions for children in a selected local primary and intermediate schools. The need for these sessions increased over COVID lockdown times and following the Auckland flood events as many children grappled with the uncertainty of those events and the associated trauma and anxiety caused by them.
