Depending on your care plan, our Support Workers can assist with daily routines such as getting ready for the day, completing household tasks, and preparing for bed at night.

What is included with Personal Care?
Personal care for your everyday needs includes:
- Showering, bathing, and washing.
- Dressing.
- Personal hygiene and grooming (shaving etc).
- Toileting.
- Medication Oversight.
- Mobility around the home.
- Passive exercise, e.g., walking.
- Meal preparation.
- Assistance with eating and drinking.
How to access Personal Care Services
You may be eligible for Personal Care Services if you:
- have an ongoing chronic health issue.
- live with a disability.
- have a disability resulting from an accident.
- are recovering from an injury.
- are 65 or over and have age-related health problems.
Delivered by our qualified Visionwest Support Workers, these services are free for those who qualify for government-funded support. Access to these supports can be arranged through Te Whatu Ora: Health NZ, MSD Disability Support Services, and ACC.
