What is included with Home Help?

General household management…

  • Laundry, vacuum, cleaning.
  • Make beds, change sheets.
  • Take out rubbish.
  • Clean kitchen, do dishes.
  • Menu planning and meal preparation.
  • Grocery shopping and nutrition.

    How to access Home Help Services

    You may be eligible for Home Help Services if you…

    • have an ongoing chronic health issue.
    • live with a disability.
    • have a disability resulting from an accident.
    • are recovering from an injury.
    • are 65 or over and have age-related health problems.

    Delivered by our qualified Visionwest Support Workers, these services are free for those who qualify for government-funded support. Access to these supports can be arranged through Te Whatu Ora: Health NZ, MSD Disability Support Services, and ACC.

    If you are not eligible for funding, or you need more support than is covered by your funding, you can also access Personal Care Services by paying privately – see here for details on our privately funded services.
