Training and Development
The vision of Visionwest Home Healthcare is to be people’s first choice in supporting independence. To achieve this, we take seriously the ongoing training and development of our staff.
Great service goes beyond what you know, however. It’s about how our services are delivered. The “how” is often what sets a quality service provider apart from the rest. This is why we care about your development as a specialised home Healthcare worker.

Covid Update – August 2023
This is a thank you to all Support Workers for your awesome effort and commitment to taking special care of your clients during the challenging Covid times. We really appreciate your incredible dedication and compassion for those you look after – you are all remarkable!
We’re pleased to announce that Covid restrictions have been lifted but we also want to remind you that certain precautions are still necessary to ensure the safety of both you and your clients.
All Support Workers must continue to:
- Wear face masks when visiting clients.
- Follow our standard Infection Prevention Controls, such as wearing gloves when dealing with any bodily fluids.
These measures are crucial to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone – that’s you and your clients.
We’d also like to inform you about a recent change in government policy that affects the way we handle sick leave for Covid absences. The government has stopped reimbursements to organisations when staff need to isolate due to Covid. As a result:
- Any staff member who contracts Covid and needs to be away from work, is now required to take this leave as ‘sick leave.’
More information on what to do if you have COVID can be found on this page here
Please stay safe and well, and let’s keep working together to make a positive impact – remember, the work you do changes lives every day!
