Personalised support for older adults, helping them live comfortably and independently at home while remaining active and connected within their communities.
Visionwest Home Healthcare offers support services, like personal care for everyday needs and general household management, to help older people continue to live where they feel most comfortable – at home, surrounded by familiarity and community.
For more than 30 years, our experienced and fully trained Support Workers have provided personalised, compassionate care that fits around the lives of our clients, supporting their independence. Working closely with whanau and care coordinators, we ensure every person receives professional, reliable support designed to meet their unique needs.
If you are over 65 and finding everyday tasks a little harder, or are caring for someone who is, you may be eligible for some in-home healthcare support.
About In-home Aged Care Support
In-home aged care is about helping older adults stay connected to the life they love, surrounded by the people and places that matter most.
At Visionwest, we believe care should enhance independence, not take it away. Our Support Workers provide compassionate, respectful assistance that fits around each person’s daily routines and personal preferences – whether that means help with everyday tasks, companionship, or a little extra support to remain independent and comfortable at home.
With kindness at the heart of everything we do, we aim to bring confidence, dignity, and a sense of wellbeing to every person we care for.
Signs additional support might be needed
Are you, or a loved one, finding that:
- Everyday tasks are becoming more difficult to manage?
- Safety concerns are increasing – for example, you are getting disoriented, lost, or leaving appliances on?
- The level of care required is becoming too much for family or friends to manage?
- The home is becoming harder to maintain, and living conditions are starting to decline?
Recognising when it’s time to seek extra help can be difficult. It’s often an emotional decision and one that many people delay for as long as possible. Having these conversations with loved ones can also feel daunting or overwhelming.
Our caring team is here to listen, answer your questions, and help you understand what support could look like for your situation. Sometimes, having the right information and guidance can make the next step a little easier.
Together, we can explore your options and help you decide whether in-home care is the right choice for you or your whānau.
