Mātanga Oranga offers Black Rain Workshops – healing intergenerational trauma through a Kaupapa Māori and Pasifika approach.
These workshops are available for Counsellors, Social Workers and Practitioners who work with people affected by trauma.
Black Rain is a Kaupapa Māori service which uses a Māori model of practice for trauma informed care.
It was developed by Visionwest’s Mātanga Oranga Trauma Specialist Faye Pouesi to successfully connect whānau holistically on a spiritual and emotional level with the impacts of intergenerational whānau violence. This deep connection enables whānau, with significant trauma histories, to begin their healing and recovery.
Who are the workshops for?
Black Rain Workshops are for Counsellors, Social Workers and Practitioners who work with people affected by trauma. These workshops are not for students.
