Youth Services
A youth coaching service providing wraparound support for young people to prepare them for long term employment.
We offer three Youth Service Programmes.


MVP (Employment Preparation and Placement Programme)
Helps young adults (18 – 24-years old) develop skills with the aim of finding a job. Includes mentoring and specific qualifications related to employment.


Youth Guarantee
NO ENROLMENTS AT THIS TIME. Providing young people between 16 & 19 with quality academic training and NCEA achievements to assist in achieving career goals.


Alternative Education
NO ENROLMENTS AT THIS TIME. Educational and pastoral support for students who have disengaged from mainstream schooling, re-engaging them with learning targeted to individual needs.


Pae Aronui
A youth employment programme aimed at improving education, training and employment outcomes for rangatahi Māori aged 15 to 24 years.


Youth Justice Mentoring
A comprehensive youth mentoring programme to assist in supporting youth people engaged with Oranga Tamariki and/or Youth Justice.


My Whare
My Whare is an innovative housing response to the issue of youth homelessness. It includes supportive mentoring from a host family.


Employment and Education
Literacy and numeracy to enable individuals to be more successful in gaining employment, completing further studies, and being effective in everyday tasks.
About Visionwest Youth Solutions
Youth Solutions delivers it’s programmes through a strong training and development ethos. It operates as part of Visionwest’s Private Training Establishment (PTE), which enables it to offer certified qualifications under the standards of NZQA. It also lives within a strengths-based youth development framework, abiding by the principles of the Youth Development Strategy of Aotearoa (YDSA). Employment and Education
Visionwest’s Employment and Education department focuses on preparing whānau of all ages for employment.
Programmes include:
- Intensive Literacy and Numeracy.
- A distance New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (NZCALNE) course is available.
