During the COVID-19 crisis, the most profound impact for New Zealand has been in the areas of health and the economy. As New Zealand adapted to stepping in and out of COVID Alert Level 4, it became increasingly important to address added risks to health, especially of those who are most vulnerable, caused by the economic marginalisation felt by so many.
Whetū Paerangi allows us to view the COVID-19 pandemic management within Visionwest through a Kaupapa Māori culturally-centred lens.
Fred Astle, Pou Whakarae / Head of Māori Development at Visionwest, has written a detailed report on Whetū Paerangi – CLICK HERE.
